First and foremost, his version of the epic is primarily a transcription of Andrew George's translation, currently the most complete. However, it is patched with bits from other translations that I personally thought read better or made more sense (or just liked more) as well as guesses here and there just to make the flow work (nothing that changes meanings though).
For that reason it is not an official translation, please don't use it for school projects or anything weird like that. Get a real copy!
In fact, here are some links to actual copies:
- AINA.org - The Epic in Proseform.
- Andrew George Version - the most current version that I know of.
- Ancient Texts Online - Kovacs Version
- Jason Colavito - another translation
